Overall exceptionally comfortable hotel, delicious meals.
Beautifully maintained and nicely furnished rooms with a safe box, television, and a writing table. Feather pillows and hypo-allergenic pillows, exceptionally comfortable bed. Excellent customer care. Had free Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The new renovations look great. Much nicer than before. Bed was comfortable. Electronics were not high-end but worked fine. Coffee maker with Green Mountain coffee was a plus. Towels were nice and fluffy. Water was hot and had good pressure.
The layout of the room was strange. The furniture was arranged in a way that made it difficult to move around in the room. Fine for 1 person but would have been uncomfortable with 2 people. Bathroom was great, but also strange layout. There was a huge space by the window that was under-utilized, and not anywhere near enough counter space available by the sink.

The grounds are lovely and the
Location is ideal for anyone visiting Phillips Academy. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the charming decor, but I did notice a lingering musty odor in the hallway that dampened the experience a little.

Very pleasant rooms and excellent service.
Lack of restaurant service for breakfast. Continental was good as continentals go but when travelling from Europe you need more food in the morning.

Couple Weekend Retreat
The staff was helpful, recommending local spots for a night out where we could have a drink and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast service was stellar-our table had a view of the grounds, the presentation of the food was exquisite and good.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the quality, it was worth it.

I arranged and booked this room for a couple in my family. The front desk management tried to change our rate to a higher rate when the hotel filled up. They tried to raise the Sat.night from $109 to $169. I had to make a phone call and then go to the hotel to try to straighten it out, but they "couldn't". Eventually the manager agreed (because I had documentation) but they made it difficult. They also tried to raise the rate on 3 other family rooms we had booked directly with the hotel.

The room was luxurious! I also really liked the sense of privacy and the overall quietness of the hotel.
My only concern would be the fact that the summer session students were wandering the campus in front of the hotel at bedtime! There were noisy for a bit. So, my question is, would is this behavior allowed for all students (even the normal session during the school year)?

Ideal choice for a mini-break over the weekend in Andover with decent value for money. The bathroom had a magnified makeup mirror, a nice bonus. Be sure to check out the nearby downtown for cute shops and eateries.

That they accommodated my 5:45am arrival!!! We had a rough trip coming up from nj and were more than late for the 4pm check-in. We loved the comfortable bed and beautiful linens and spacious bathroom.
The breakfast. It would have been much better to choose from a menu, and if there isn't enough business to warrant a chef at that time of a day, then the buffet needs to be fresh. The bread for toasting was stale and the fruit was definitely cut the day before. The eggs were just a clump of tasteless food product. The oatmeal was about the only edible item in the buffet. The lunches and dinners we had there were great.
